Jason Flanders, Partner

Mr. Flanders represents individuals, associations, and nonprofit organizations in a wide variety of administrative and judicial proceedings, with special emphasis on the federal Clean Water Act, the California Environmental Quality Act, Proposition 65, and the California Public Records Act. Prior to joining ATA, Mr. Flanders served as acting executive director, program director, and staff attorney for San Francisco Baykeeper, litigating dozens of citizen lawsuits to successful resolution, and representing Baykeeper in administrative proceedings before the State and Regional Waterboards, the Bay Conservation and Development Commission, and numerous cities and counties. Working as an associate attorney at Kenyon Yeates, LLP, Mr. Flanders represented environmental advocates statewide, including litigation under the California Endangered Species Act, advising citizen initiatives and referenda, forming nonprofit corporations, and establishing conservation easements. He holds a J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law, 2005.
